Series Rules:
The ODSA Provincial Disc Golf Series consisted of at least 8 events, listed below in either the "S" South, "N" North, or "E" East Region of the province.
Any player completing 4 of the tournaments, 3 of which are in the South Region and 1 other in either the East or the North Region, or2 South Region events plus 1 East Region and 1 North Region event. In other words, either: 3S + 1E/N -or- 2S + 1E + 1N, will qualify a player for the bonus prizes in their division at the end of the season.
Any player is only eligble for the year-end prizes in one division, as designated by the division they participate in at the Finals event. Should they not participate in the Finals, their eligible division would be the one they participated in the most often during the season. Should this last criteria not decide their division, it would become the division in which they are highest placed within the division ranking.
Participation points are cumulative and are earned on the following basis: 2 pts for participation at each event. The maximum number of points added to your Top-4 results is based on the number of tournaments in the Series. For an 8-event Series, the maximum number of Participation points earned based on perfect attendance would be 2x8 = 16 pts.
Missed rounds are assigned 7 per hole (126 for an 18 hole round), and series points are assigned based on the resulting totals.
Any PDGA division, when offered at least 4 times during the series, and having at least 4 people in it at the end of the season is eligible for bonus prizes.
-All Pro players will play from the same tees at each of the tournaments, and will be compared on a separate "Pro" ranking regardless of their division, based on their score at each event in a similar scoring system as the regular divisions.
-The best 4 scores from each Pro player will be used to sort the ranking. In case of ties in the ranking, the player with the single highest point total (and so on if there are multiple ties) at any particular tournament will break the tie.
-The winner has 48 hours to accept the nomination to the USDGC. If declined, it will be offered to the next on the list. The winner is responsible for paying their entry fees on time to the USDGC prior to their established deadline.
-The winner of this position must be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant, and a resident of Canada.
-The same participation points as per the regular division rankings will be added to a player's 4 best results.
